Purchase
Scan-Vibro was established in Vester Åby in 1949, with a vision to use vibration technology in the process industries. In 2006, Steen Larsen became sole owner of the company, which at the time employed a staff of approximately 50 employees. In 2009, he chose to sell 75% of the company to a group of investors behind Dansk Generationsskifte A/S, and he remained at the helm as managing director.
Development and exit
Scan-Vibro’s turnover developed satisfactorily from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, Scan-Vibro was sold to its largest customer, the engineering giant GEA; accordingly, the company now operates under the name of GEA Scan-Vibro. This has enabled GEA to deliver the full spectrum of key technologies for production facilities to the dairy industry.
